Do you work on lesson plans, your own art or try out new ideas?
Last weekend I redid my kid's bathroom into a jungle theme. I decided to try using Modge Podge in a Decoupage
method the most that would happen is I would need to strip the wall paper. I used this technique in class for various projects. I glued bright blue tissue paper over the wall paper in the sink cubby area. Then cut out giant green and yellow banana style leaves and layered that over the blue. It looked nice but a little empty, so I went down to the trusty dollar store and bought jungle animal wall stickers and stuck them up, looked better. But it needed some more color. So I looked at the shower curtain for inspiration, and decided flowers. I cut out a cosmos style flower from bright pink and red. I glued that up and it all really went together. The rest of the wall I swirled with blue paint by using a plastic bag then put up more jungle animal stickers and then glued a few flowers around the room.
I have used the decoupage method on masks, eggs, pottery, paper and foam board for many class projects.
